What is CBD?

CBD is a cannabinoid, which is a naturally-occurring compound found in hemp (cannabis sativa) plants. Cannabinoids are the primary, chemical compounds found in hemp (cannabis sativa) plants. Although the cannabis plant has more than 100 different chemical compounds the two best known are CBD and THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol. CBD is being scientifically investigated for numerous reasons as it is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis. Most people have heard of a cannabinoid called THC, which is the ingredient in cannabis with the psychoactive components, commonly known as what gets users "high". Unlike THC, CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid and does not cause a "high" — and there's a growing body of evidence that it has a number of health benefits.  Our products contain ZERO THC.

CBD primarily interacts with the body’s cannabinoid system, a grouping of millions of cannabinoid receptors found throughout your body. How does CBD work?

CBD is a phytocannabinoid, or plant-based cannabinoid, that interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS has four primary purposes including neuroprotection, stress relief, immune response, and regulating the body’s general state of balance, impacting faculties such as appetite, sleep, mood, and pain. Unlike THC, CBD does not interact directly with the two classical cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2). This is why CBD does not cause any psychoactive effect. Instead, CBD inhibits the enzymes that break down endocannabinoids, leading to an increase in your body’s naturally-produced cannabinoids.

What’s the difference between CBD from hemp and CBD from marijuana?

There are a lot of misconceptions when it comes to hemp oil. Of all those different cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, the two best known are CBD and THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol. Marijuana has a high concentration of THC – the chemical that makes you feel “high”. Does Hemp Centrix Naturals ship to all 50 states?

Yes, we ship our proprietary organic hemp oil extracts to all states within the United States. The United States Farm Bill of 2014 classified industrial hemp as containing less than 0.3% THC. Our Hemp Centrix products contain less than 0.3% THC therefore the  U.S. Federal law allows us to conveniently ship to your door step.
